To visit Reims and its surroundings, 3 or 4 days is enough (even by public transport).
I think one week is a bit too much.

It’s getting so hard to find objective information that is not affiliated with guided tours trying to sell you something! We are from the US and have traveled quite a bit in France, but have never visited Reims.
