Hello Maria,

Ten days in Calvi may be a long time if you don’t have a car. Public transport is not very well developed in Corsica, so you won’t be able to go everywhere.

But if your main goal is to enjoy the beach, it should be fine.
You can still take the train that runs along several beaches, go on one or two boat trips from Calvi and enjoy water sports.
There is also a Jeep tour that allows you to visit some of the villages in the surrounding mountains.
I also recommend the walk along the Gulf of Revellata.

In summer, Calvi is lively. There are quite a few restaurants and bars in the area around the port.

I’m sure you can help with your expertise. My question : is 10 nights too long for a beach holiday in Calvi to relax by the beach / pool and have a few excursions, if that is possible with local transport ? Does Calvi have enough restaurants to visit and places to stroll around in the evening ?

Hello Yuval,

The Musée National du Sport and the stadium are easily accessible by tram from the centre of Nice.
However, I haven’t visited them, so I can’t really tell you.
Apparently the visit to the museum is quite quick (about 1 hour) and I don’t know if there are explanations in English…

Hello Yuval,

Yes, you’ll have enough time.
You can visit Villefranche, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and Eze on the same day, as they are all small villages within easy reach of each other.
You can also visit Antibes and Cannes on the same day if you like.

Thank you for your VERY detailed and informative itinerary! Would you have any suggestions on best place to stay in Northern Sardinia for 6 people (age 60) to be a home base and just do day trips from there? We would like to do a slower pace and not have to change accommodations every 2-3 days. We will do 14 days and hope to do more sight-seeing in first 7 days and then relax and stay local in the last 7 days. We don’t want fancy hotels, beach location would be ideal. Not sure what region or town would be best.
