Argostoli is the capital of Kefalonia, and Lassi is its nearby beach resort.
Staying here gives you the best of both worlds: a lively town with shops and restaurants, plus easy access to sandy beaches.
It is the most convenient area to explore the island, as many bus routes and tours start here.
You should really stay in Argostoli or Lassi:
- For a first time stay, to have all facilities and restaurants within walking distance.
- If you don’t want to rent a car, since you can easily use taxis or buses.

This district is perfect to discover:
- Makris Gialos Beach, one of the most famous sandy beaches in Lassi.
