In Uluwatu and Nusa Dua (South Bali)
The southern peninsula of Bali offers two very different vibes: Uluwatu features dramatic cliffs and surf breaks, while Nusa Dua is a gated area with calm beaches and large resorts.
This region is home to some of the most beautiful white sand beaches in Bali.
You can stay in the South of Bali:

- For a honeymoon, thanks to the romantic cliffside views in Uluwatu.
- If you are an experienced surfer, as Uluwatu has world-class waves.
- For families, as Nusa Dua beaches are calm and safe for swimming.
Best things to see and do in Uluwatu and Nusa Dua:
- Uluwatu Temple, perched on a high cliff, famous for its sunset views and Kecak fire dance shows.
- Padang Padang Beach, a beautiful small cove accessible by stairs.
- Waterblow Nusa Dua, where waves crash dramatically against the rocks.
- Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park, home to one of the tallest statues in the world.

Located on the southwest coast, Seminyak and Canggu are the trendiest areas in Bali.
Seminyak is known for its upscale shopping and dining, while Canggu has a more laid-back, surfer vibe.
Staying in this area gives you access to the best beach clubs and nightlife on the island.
You should really stay in Seminyak or Canggu:

In Ubud District (Center of the island)
Ubud is the cultural and spiritual heart of Bali, located in the center of the island.
Surrounded by rainforests and terraced rice paddies, it is a very green and peaceful area, though the center can be quite busy.
It’s the best area to discover traditional Balinese culture and arts.
You should stay in Ubud:
- For a first time stay, as it is centrally located for day trips.
- If you love nature, yoga, and healthy food.
- To explore famous temples and royal palaces.
- For a relaxing trip surrounded by jungle views.
This is the perfect area to see:

Lovina is located on the North coast of Bali, far from the busy south.
It is famous for its black volcanic sand beaches and calm waters.
Staying in Lovina allows you to see a more authentic and quiet side of the island.
You should stay in Lovina if you want:
- To escape the crowds and traffic of the south.
- To see wild dolphins at sunrise, the area’s main attraction.
- For snorkeling and diving, as the reefs here are well preserved.
This district is perfect to discover:
- Banjar Hot Springs, sacred hot springs set in a tropical garden.
- Gitgit Waterfall, an impressive waterfall located in the mountains nearby.
- Brahmavihara-Arama, Bali’s largest Buddhist monastery.

- Kuta Seaview Boutique Resorts: Located right on the famous Kuta Beach. Offers spacious family rooms from 170€, breakfast included. Strong points: direct beach access, large swimming pool with a kids’ area, central location close to shops and restaurants.
