In Levante Beach District

The Levante Beach area is the bustling heart of Benidorm.

This district is where the action is, day and night.

It’s the best area if you want to be in the center of all and enjoy the best of Benidorm’s entertainment scene.

You should stay in this district if you want:

• To be right in the heart of the action
• To enjoy a lively nightlife scene, with famous venues like Benidorm Palace nearby.
• To have everything at your doorstep: beach, shops, restaurants, and bars.

This is the perfect area to see:

• Levante Beach (Playa de Levante), a 2km stretch of sand with Blue Flag status.
• The Cable-Ski platform for waterskiing and wakeboarding.
• The bustling promenade (Avenida de Madrid)
• The “English Square” and surrounding streets, packed with British-style pubs and cabaret bars.
• Casino Mediterráneo Benidorm, for a glamorous evening out.

Where to Stay in Benidorm’s Levante District?

• Hotel Ambassador Playa I & II: Just 300 meters from the beach. Modern and comfortable double rooms start at 130€, breakfast included. Strong points: two swimming pools, excellent entertainment program, fantastic location for nightlife and beach. A top choice for value and location in Benidorm.
• INNSiDE by Melia Costablanca: An adults-only hotel with a prime beachfront location. Stylish double rooms with sea views from 180€, breakfast included. Strong points: direct beach access, buffet, chill-out atmosphere.
• Hotel Cimbel: Right on the promenade with stunning sea views. Elegant double rooms from 210€, breakfast included. Strong points: beautiful outdoor pool overlooking the sea, location, high-quality service. My favorite for a beachfront stay on Levante!

In Benidorm Old Town (Casco Antiguo)

The Old Town, or Casco Antiguo, is the historic soul of Benidorm, nestled between the two main beaches of Levante and Poniente.

With its narrow, cobbled streets, blue-domed church, and traditional white-washed houses, it offers a glimpse into Benidorm’s past as a fishing village.

This area is famous for its authentic Spanish tapas bars, boutique shops, and a more relaxed, atmosphere.

You should really stay in the Old Town if you want:

• To experience a more authentic Spanish side of Benidorm.
• To be close to both major beaches.
• A romantic setting for your holiday.

This district is perfect for discovering:

• Balcón del Mediterráneo, the iconic viewpoint on a rocky outcrop offering breathtaking panoramic views of the coastline.
• San Jaime y Santa Ana Church, with its beautiful blue-tiled domes.
• Plaza del Castillo, the main square at the top of the Old Town.
• Tapas Alley, a food lover’s paradise.
• Mal Pas Beach, a small, sheltered cove perfect for a quiet swim.
• Elche Park, a lovely park with palm trees leading to Poniente beach.

• Hotel Villa Venecia Boutique Gourmet: This 5-star hotel offers the ultimate luxury experience. It offers unique, themed rooms with panoramic sea views and private jacuzzis. From 350€, breakfast included. Strong points: rooftop spa and pool, exceptional gourmet restaurant, personalized service. This is simply the best luxury hotel in Benidorm!

In Poniente Beach District

Poniente Beach is the calmer, more spacious and family-friendly counterpart to Levante.

The recently redesigned promenade is a stunning architectural feature, perfect for long walks, cycling, or simply relaxing at a beachfront café.

You can stay in Poniente if:

• You prefer a quieter, laid-back beach experience.
• You are on a family holiday, as the beach has playgrounds and calmer waters.
• You want easy access to the beach without the crowds of Levante.

Best things to see and do around Poniente:

• Poniente Beach (Playa de Poniente), over 3km long, ideal for sunbathing, swimming, and water sports.
• The Poniente Promenade, an award-winning, wave-like structure with plenty of seating, green spaces, and bars.
• Intempo Sky Apartments, a golden twin-tower skyscraper.
• Las Rejas Golf Course, a pleasant 9-hole course behind the beach area.
• Terra Mítica and Terra Natura theme parks.

The Best Hotels to Stay in the Poniente District

• Hotel Poseidon Playa: Located right on the beachfront. Simple, clean double room with a balcony and sea view from 110€. Strong points: every room has a sea view, great pool area, direct access to the beach.
• Hotel Voramar: Situated at the start of Poniente beach, near the Old Town. Bright, spacious double room from 140€, breakfast included. Strong points: rooftop pool and terrace with incredible views, perfect location for both beach and town, very friendly staff.
• Hotel RH Corona del Mar: A superb 4-star hotel opposite the beach. Modern double rooms from 190€, breakfast included. Strong points: large lagoon-style pool with slides, excellent buffet, indoor heated pool and jacuzzi. A perfect choice for families and couples alike!
• Hotel Villa del Mar: A luxurious boutique-style hotel on the promenade. Chic, all-white rooms from 250€ on an all-inclusive basis. Strong points: rooftop chill-out terrace with a pool, stylish spa, food and drinks. My recommendation for a luxury, all-inclusive stay on Poniente beach!

In Rincón de Loix District

Rincón de Loix, often referred to as the “New Town,” is a large neighborhood located at the eastern end of Levante Beach.

The atmosphere here is alive 24/7, with an endless choice of restaurants, pubs with live sports, and cabaret shows.

It’s also the gateway to some of Benidorm’s biggest family attractions.

You should stay in Rincón de Loix if you want:

• To be in the heart of Benidorm’s entertainment scene, with shows on every corner.
• To have easy access to the big theme parks like Aqualandia and Mundomar.
• A huge selection of All-Inclusive hotels and self-catering apartments.
• To be close to the quieter end of Levante Beach, perfect for finding a spot on the sand.

This is the perfect area to see:

• Benidorm Palace, the city’s venue for Las Vegas-style dinner shows.
• Aqualandia Water Park, featuring some of Europe’s highest and fastest water slides.
• Mundomar, a marine and exotic animal park.
• Benidorm’s famous outdoor market, held every Wednesday and Sunday.
• The Cross of Benidorm (La Cruz de Benidorm), a viewpoint on the Sierra Helada mountain.

Where to Stay in Benidorm’s Rincón de Loix District?

• Hotel Nereo: Just 250 metres from Levante Beach. Bright and modern double rooms from 125€, breakfast included. Strong points: excellent location for both beach and entertainment, lovely outdoor pool, very clean. A great value mid-range choice in the heart of the action.
• Medplaya Hotel Flamingo Oasis: A very popular all-inclusive hotel. Spacious rooms from 170€. Strong points: huge lagoon-style swimming pool, fantastic daytime and evening entertainment, great for families and groups.
• Meliá Benidorm: A spectacular 4-star hotel set in vast, tropical gardens. Elegant rooms from 220€, breakfast included. Strong points: two enormous, stunning pools, a wellness center, beautiful surroundings, and a feeling of a luxury resort. This is my recommendation for a high-end, relaxing stay in the Rincón de Loix area!

Where to Stay in Benidorm on a Budget

If you’re traveling on a budget, here are a few great hotels for a stay in Benidorm without spending too much:

• Hotel Fetiche Alojamiento con Encanto: Located in the heart of the Old Town. Stylish double room from 95€. Strong points: unbeatable location for exploring, very clean, modern decor, and amazing staff. This is definitely a great choice if you want to stay in Benidorm for cheap.
• Hotel Montemar: Right opposite Poniente beach, next to Elche Park. Cozy double room from 100€, with breakfast. Strong points: fantastic location, sea views from some rooms, friendly atmosphere.
• Hotel Primavera Park: Just on the edge of the Old Town. Modern double room from 110€, breakfast included. Strong points: fantastic rooftop pool and bar area, newly refurbished, central location. Another great place to stay in central Benidorm on a budget.

Where to Stay in Benidorm with Family

• Sol Pelícanos Ocas: Located in the Levante area. Modern family rooms from 150€, breakfast included. Strong points: enormous lagoon-style pools (famous from the “Benidorm” TV series), full entertainment program for all ages, kids’ club. You should really consider this place if you’re traveling to Benidorm as a family.
• Hotel RH Princesa: A short walk from Levante beach. Family rooms for 4 from 180€, breakfast included. Strong points: great pool with a waterslide, indoor pool with a jacuzzi, excellent entertainment team, and a fun games room.
• Magic Robin Hood Water Park Lodge: A unique holiday park just outside the city center. Themed wooden lodges for the whole family from 200€, all-inclusive. Strong points: massive water park on-site, adventure playground, various themed restaurants. A complete family adventure!
