In Strasbourg Historic Center (Grande-Île)
The historic center of Strasbourg, or Grande-Île, is the heart of the Alsatian capital.
The entire district is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site and is a beautiful area with a truly authentic atmosphere.

You should stay in this district:
- For a first-time stay, especially if you want to explore Strasbourg on foot.
- If you love going out at night, with all the traditional restaurants and wine bars (winstubs).

This is the perfect area to see:

- La Petite France, an impressive historic quarter with its half-timbered houses, canals, and covered bridges.
- Place Kléber, the largest square in the city, surrounded by shops and historic buildings.
- Palais Rohan, a former residence of prince-bishops that now hosts three major museums.
- Alsatian Museum, showcasing traditional Alsatian life and art.
- The charming streets like Rue des Orfèvres and Rue du Maroquin, perfect for shopping and soaking up the local vibe.
