Veronetta, located on the east bank of the Adige River, is Verona’s bohemian and university district.
This area has a more alternative and youthful vibe, with a lively atmosphere, especially in the evenings.
Staying in Veronetta allows you to discover a less touristy but very authentic side of the city, with more affordable prices.
You should really stay in Veronetta if:
- You want a genuine local experience, away from the main tourist crowds.
- You’re looking for a vibrant nightlife scene, with many small bars and local restaurants.
- For a budget stay, as it offers more affordable accommodation and dining.
This district is perfect for discovering:
- Giardino Giusti, a stunning Renaissance garden with beautiful statues and panoramic city views.
- The Roman Theatre and Archaeological Museum
- Ponte Pietra, which connects Veronetta to the historic center.
- Castel San Pietro, reachable by funicular, for the most famous viewpoint over Verona.
