It’s the perfect place for those who love to explore, eat well, and enjoy the nightlife.
You should really stay in Kazimierz if you want:

Located just across the river from Kazimierz, Podgórze is a district steeped in history.
This area was the site of the wartime Jewish ghetto and is now home to important museums and memorials.
Once neglected, Podgórze is now an up-and-coming neighborhood.
You can stay in Podgórze:

- To experience a more authentic side of Krakow.
- For a quieter stay while being very close to Kazimierz.
- If you like modern art and creative spaces.
Best things to do and see in Podgórze:
- Schindler’s Factory Museum, an essential and moving museum about Krakow under Nazi occupation.
- Ghetto Heroes Square (Plac Bohaterów Getta), a famous memorial of empty chairs.
- MOCAK (Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow), next to Schindler’s Factory.
- The Eagle Pharmacy (Apteka pod Orłem), a small museum of the only pharmacy operating in the ghetto.

Kleparz is a historic district located immediately north of the Old Town, just outside the former city walls.
This area is perfect for travelers who want easy access to both the main attractions and the city’s primary transport hub, Kraków Główny train station.
With its famous historic market and beautiful architecture, Kleparz is a great alternative to the bustling heart of the Old Town.
You should stay in this district if you want:
- To be very close to the Old Town but in a less crowded area.
- Excellent transport hub, if you’re arriving by train or planning day trips.
- A local vibe with great markets and shops.
- To be near one of Krakow’s largest shopping centers, Galeria Krakowska.
This district is perfect for discovering:
- Stary Kleparz, the oldest market in Krakow, where you can buy fresh local produce.
- The Church of St. Florian, a baroque church that marks the beginning of the Royal Route.
