The historic center of Turin, or Centro Storico, is the royal heart of the city.
This area is known for its elegant Baroque architecture, grand squares, and historic cafes. It’s a very walkable district where most of the city’s main attractions are located.
It’s the best area to discover the city’s must see attractions easily.
You should stay in this district if you want:
- For a first time stay, especially if you want to explore Turin’s best places to visit on foot.
- To enjoy the elegant atmosphere of Turin’s famous arcades and historic cafes.
- For a trip focused on sightseeing and culture.
This is the perfect area to see:
- Piazza Castello, the main square, home to the Royal Palace and Palazzo Madama.
- The Egyptian Museum, which houses one of the world’s most important collections of Egyptian artifacts.
- Mole Antonelliana, the symbol of Turin and home to the National Museum of Cinema.
- Turin Cathedral (Duomo di Torino)

Staying in San Salvario allows you to experience a younger, more dynamic side of Turin while being next to one of the city’s best green spaces.
You should really stay in San Salvario if you want:
